A God of Abundance
“So Moses gave command, and word was proclaimed throughout the camp, ‘No man or woman is to make anything else as an offering for the sanctuary.’ So the people were restrained from bringing, for what they had already brought was more than enough to do all the work.” - Exodus 36:6-7
Have you ever felt like there’s never enough? Enough time, money, energy, or even opportunity? That scarcity mindset can be crippling, making you believe that your best days are behind you, or that the dreams in your heart will never come true. But God tells us a very different story. He calls us to walk in a reality that says, “There’s more than enough.”
In Exodus 36, we find an incredible example of what happens when people are convinced that God provides more than enough. The Israelites, stirred by God’s command to build a sanctuary, gave freely and abundantly. So much so that Moses had to tell them to stop giving because they had already received more than what was needed! Imagine that—being told not to give because there was already an overflow!
This story is a vivid picture of what it means to live with a mindset of abundance rather than scarcity. The people weren’t pressured by a campaign or manipulated into giving. They were moved in their hearts by the opportunity to be part of something greater than themselves. Their generosity wasn’t just about meeting a need; it was about partnering with God’s plan.
The challenge for us today is the same. Do we live as though God has more than enough for us, or are we stuck in a trance of scarcity, always feeling like there’s not enough? God’s Word is clear—He is a God of abundance. If He has called you to something, He will provide more than enough for you to accomplish it.
What would change in your life if you believed there was always enough? Enough time to pursue your calling. Enough strength to overcome challenges. Enough resources to bless others. With God, there’s always more than enough. Step into that reality today and watch how He meets your needs beyond what you could imagine.
