Positioned for Blessing
"Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain, beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth." - Psalm 48:1-2
Intentions do not shape your future. Positioning does. You can have the best plans, the strongest desires, and the boldest resolutions, but if you are not in the right position, your intentions will never turn into reality.
Psalm 48 paints a picture of Zion, not just as a physical place but as a spiritual reality. It is where God dwells and where His people experience His power and provision. The Israelites saw Zion as the ultimate location, the place where life with God was lived out in full. For you, Zion represents more than geography. It represents where you stand with God and how you position yourself for His presence and blessings in your life.
Think about the areas of your life where you want to see change. If you want financial freedom but keep making impulsive purchases and ignoring God’s principles of stewardship, your positioning is working against you. If you want career success but consistently show up late, cut corners, or avoid growth, your positioning cancels out your goals. If you want better health but continue old habits without real change, your positioning prevents progress.
The same is true for your spiritual life. You can want a deeper relationship with God, but if your positioning is off, if prayer is an afterthought, if worship is conditional, if obedience is selective, you will not see the growth you desire. Zion is not just a place to admire from a distance. It is a position you must step into. It is where you align your life with God’s ways, making choices that move you closer to Him instead of keeping you stuck.
God does not just bless intentions. He blesses positioning. If you want to experience all He has for you, it is time to stop hoping and start shifting. Position yourself in obedience, faithfulness, and daily pursuit of God. When you do, you will not just wish for a better life. You will walk into it.
