God Hasn’t Given Up on You
"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." - Philippians 1:6
Sometimes it feels like the promises God made to you are taking too long. You’ve prayed, waited, believed, and still, nothing seems to be happening. The waiting grows heavy, and you wonder if maybe you misunderstood God’s plan or if He’s forgotten you altogether.
Abram knew what that felt like. He waited 24 years for the promise of a child, with nothing to show for it. Along the way, there were mistakes, frustrations, and moments of doubt. He and Sarai even tried to take matters into their own hands, creating more problems than solutions. Yet, even in the silence, God wasn’t finished with Abram.
Here’s the truth: your mistakes don’t cancel God’s plans. Delays might happen, and you may veer off course, but God’s promises remain. He’s patient, gracious, and committed to finishing what He started in you. After 13 years of silence, God came back to Abram with a simple message: “Let’s try this again.”
Maybe you’re in a season where it feels like nothing is moving. You might even feel stuck, wondering if you’ve disqualified yourself from God’s promises because of poor choices or missed opportunities. But God doesn’t give up on you. He’s not deterred by time or your shortcomings. Instead, He comes to you, ready to pick up where you left off and lead you forward.
The key to moving past stagnation is being available to God, even when the wait is long and the path unclear. Abram didn’t give up on God during those 13 silent years. He stayed open, allowing his faith to mature. He stopped watching the clock and started trusting the process, understanding that God’s timing is perfect.
God’s promises require next-level faith. Faith that doesn’t waver with delays, challenges, or silence. It’s faith that says, “I trust You, God, even when I can’t see how this will work out.” If you’ve been waiting, take heart: God is still working. He’s not finished with you, and His promises are still alive.
Stay available. Stay open. And trust that God hasn’t forgotten you. He’s ready to move you forward into what He has prepared. The waiting may feel long, but the fulfillment will be worth it. God hasn’t given up on you, and He never will.
