Success in the Face of Opposition
"It is you alone who are to be feared. Who can stand before you when once your anger is roused?" - Psalm 76:7
Success is something we all want in our lives. But you need to understand something: Success is easy when there is no opposition. It is easy to keep moving forward when nothing is standing in your way. But what happens when obstacles arise, when critics come against you, and when life throws distractions at your purpose? That is when true success is tested.
The psalmist paints a picture of God’s power in the face of opposition. He describes God as more radiant than light, more majestic than the mountains, and completely unstoppable by His enemies. No warrior can lift a hand against Him. No army can threaten His plan. Even in the midst of conflict, God continues to provide for His people and secure their future.
That is the mindset you must have if you want to succeed. You cannot let resistance intimidate you. Don’t let competition discourage you. A successful person is one who can take the bricks that others throw at them and build a foundation. It is not about how well you perform when no one is watching. It is about how well you keep going when life tries to block your path.
Think about great athletes. Anyone can make a shot when no one is guarding them. Anyone can dribble when there is no defender trying to steal the ball. But the difference between average players and champions is their ability to perform under pressure. The great ones thrive in the face of competition. They do not back down. They do not let the opposition shake them. They adjust, stay focused, and keep playing their game.
Success God’s way means pushing forward even when obstacles arise. It means keeping your focus even when life gets difficult. If God did not allow conflict to stop His plans, why should you? The fight you are facing is not meant to stop you. It is meant to strengthen you. Keep building. Keep growing. Keep pushing forward. The competition is not there to defeat you. It is there to refine you.
