Presence Is Greater Than Presents

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2

Rick Warren once said, ““Time is your most precious gift because you only have a set amount of it. You can make more money, but you can’t make more time. When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you’ll never get back. Your time is your life. That is why the greatest gift you can give someone is your time.”
 
Maya Angelou once said, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” And what people remember most is your presence.  

Money and material possessions are no replacement for time. If you found out that today was your last day—or someone you cared about’s last day—on earth, what would you rather have, more stuff or more time?
 
You can always make more money. However, with time, you cannot save it, you cannot gain it, you can only spend it. That is where the key lies, in how you spend it. So decide today to give your presence to those you love and to those who need you the most. You’ll be glad you did.
