Blessed with Responsibility
"...making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth." - Ephesians 1:8-10
As we continue to look into Ephesians 1:8-10, we uncover not only the blessings of redemption, reconciliation, and revelation but also the blessing of responsibility. God doesn't just reveal His will to us so that we can possess knowledge; He entrusts us with wisdom and understanding to actively participate in His work on earth.
Throughout Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, we see God's desire to transform individuals who will in turn transform their world. This transformation isn't meant to be kept to ourselves but shared and demonstrated in our actions. We are called not only to understand God's wisdom but also to use it as a tool to manifest His promises in our communities and beyond.
Think about it, why did God redeem us through Christ's sacrifice? Why did He reconcile us to Himself and reveal His will to us? It's all part of His grand plan to bless us so that we can be conduits of His love, mercy, and justice in a broken world. We are blessed to be a blessing.
This responsibility manifests in various ways. It's seen when we serve others selflessly, reflecting the heart of God in our actions. It's evident when we give generously, demonstrating God's provision and abundance. And it's impactful when we engage in advocacy for justice, peace, and righteousness, striving to see God's kingdom principles realized on earth.
Consider how God has blessed you with wisdom and understanding. Ask Him to reveal His will for your life and how you can actively participate in His kingdom work. Embrace the privilege and responsibility of being God's ambassador, bringing His light and love into every sphere of influence you encounter.
