Blessed with Revelation
"...making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth." - Ephesians 1:8-10
As believers, we not only have the blessings of redemption and reconciliation but thirdly, In Ephesians 1:8-10, Paul reveals another important blessing we receive through Christ: revelation.
This blessing isn't just about knowledge; it's about understanding God's will and purpose for our lives. Through Christ, God graciously makes known to us the mysteries of His will, guiding us with wisdom and insight that we cannot attain on our own.
Think of revelation as a pair of glasses that clarifies our vision. Just as glasses help correct blurry vision, Christ illuminates our understanding and perception of life. He reveals truths and perspectives that were previously hidden or unclear. When we surrender our lives to Him, He becomes the lens through which we view the world, enabling us to see things from His eternal perspective.
Last year, I began experiencing vision problems. Reading up close became a challenge until I received glasses prescribed by the eye doctor. These glasses transformed my ability to see clearly again, just as Christ transforms our spiritual vision. He opens our eyes to spiritual truths and insights that were once obscured, allowing us to navigate life with clarity and purpose.
Maybe you can relate. Since committing your life to Christ, you've noticed a shift in how you perceive relationships, finances, and life's challenges. It's as if a veil has been lifted, and you now see through the lens of God's truth and love. This transformation isn't just about seeing better; it's about discerning God's will and walking in His ways.
Revelation isn't merely about acquiring knowledge; it's about receiving divine discernment—the ability to perceive and understand what the natural eye cannot see. It empowers us to make wise decisions, navigate life's complexities, and avoid the pitfalls of our old ways. With Christ guiding us, we can confidently face each day, knowing that His revelation will illuminate our path.
I want to challenge you to open your heart to receive God's revelation. Seek His wisdom through prayer, Scripture, and quiet reflection. Trust that He will illuminate your understanding and lead you into His perfect will. When you embrace the blessing of revelation, you allow Christ to transform your vision and guide you through every season of life.
