Chosen Before Time
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, just as he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love." - Ephesians 1:3-4
Have you ever felt the thrill of being chosen? Whether it was for a sports team as a child or a job opportunity as an adult, being picked out of many can be both nerve-wracking and gratifying. But here’s something even more incredible: God chose you before the world began.
Before the foundations of the earth were laid, before you took your first breath, God already knew you and set His love upon you. It wasn’t because of your skills, your background, or anything you could offer. It was purely because of His grace and love for you. Just like receiving a pre-approved offer in the mail, God pre-qualified you for His family. He saw beyond your flaws and imperfections and chose you to be holy and blameless in His sight.
Think about it, God’s choice was deliberate and unconditional. It wasn’t based on anything you did or could ever do. He simply desired to include you in His eternal plan of love and redemption. This truth should fill you with awe and gratitude.
When doubts creep in or when you feel unworthy, remember that God’s choice of you was intentional and eternal. You are not an afterthought or a random selection. You are His beloved, chosen with purpose and destined for greatness in His kingdom.
Let this assurance strengthen you today. Embrace the truth that God’s love for you surpasses all understanding. Rejoice in being part of His chosen people, called out of darkness into His light.
