Using Your Platform for God's Glory
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men." - Colossians 3:23
Think about the platform God has given you. Maybe it's a talent, a position of influence, or simply the opportunity to impact those around you. Whatever form it takes, it's a gift entrusted to you by a loving Father who desires to use it for His glory. But the question is, what are you doing with it?
It's all too easy to fall into the trap of self-promotion, using our platforms to elevate our own names and accomplishments. We may sprinkle in a quick "thank you, God" or a mention of His name, but are we truly using our platforms to share the love of Christ with others?
God has a purpose for each and every one of us, and He has placed us where we are for a reason. Whether we're in the spotlight or behind the scenes, whether we have a large platform or a small one, we are called to steward it well for His glory.
Ask yourself today, how am I using my platform? Are you using it to draw attention to yourself, or are you using it as a vehicle to share the love of Christ with others? It's not enough to simply mention God's name or give Him a fleeting moment of praise. He desires our wholehearted devotion and our willingness to be vessels of His love and grace.
Remember, sharing the love of Christ isn't just about words—it's about actions, it's about living out His love in tangible ways every day. Whether it's through a kind word, a helping hand, or a listening ear, every interaction is an opportunity to reflect God's love to those around us.
As you go about your day, remember that your platform is a gift from God, entrusted to you to be used for His glory. Commit to stewarding it well, using it to point others to the One who loves them unconditionally and has a purpose for their lives. And use your platform not for self-promotion, but for the exaltation of His name.
