Let God Be God
"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." - Psalm 46:10
In a world filled with chaos and uncertainty, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the challenges and problems that surround us. We might be tempted to take matters into our own hands, believing that our efforts can resolve the issues we face. However, I want to remind you of a simple yet profound truth: Let God be God.
Life often presents us with circumstances that are beyond our control. We witness the brokenness of the world, the pain of others, and the chaos that can seem insurmountable. During these times, it's crucial to remember that there are some things we are not meant to handle, doors we are not supposed to open, and problems we are not meant to address on our own.
Psalm 46:10 encourages us to "be still" and recognize that God is in control. In the midst of turmoil and adversity, we are called to trust in His sovereignty. When we try to take control of situations that are best left in God's hands, we often add to our own burdens and hinder His work.
Just think of the story of Moses at the Red Sea. When faced with the impossible, Moses trusted in God's guidance and saw the miraculous parting of the waters. He didn't try to take matters into his own hands but allowed God to handle the situation. This is a powerful example of what it means to let God be God.
In our own lives, there may be situations that seem like impassable seas, obstacles we cannot overcome, or problems we cannot solve. It is precisely in these moments that we need to relinquish our desire for control and allow God to work. He has the power to part the seas in our lives, making a way where there seems to be no way.
When we surrender to God's authority and wisdom, we free ourselves from unnecessary stress and anxiety. We find peace in knowing that the One who is fully capable of handling all things is with us. His ways are higher, and His plans are perfect.
So, if you are wrestling with the challenges and problems you see around you, I encourage you to let God be God. Trust in His timing, His purpose, and His ability to work all things together for good. Be still, and know that He is God.
