Character is the core of who you are when no one is watching. It's your moral compass, the sum of your values, and the backbone of your integrity. Developing a strong and virtuous character is an intentional choice made day by day, moment by moment. Let’s look at a few examples of character qualities that we all need to develop and strengthen as we continue to follow Jesus.  

Trials often test your endurance, but perseverance is the strength to keep moving forward when the path is difficult. It's not a sudden burst of energy but a steady, determined commitment to staying the course, even in adversity.
 
Patience is the ability to remain calm and composed when life's storms rage around you. It's not a passive resignation but an active choice to trust in God's timing and purpose. In practicing patience, you demonstrate your faith in God's sovereignty.

Resilience is your capacity to bounce back from setbacks and trials, often emerging stronger and wiser. It's the result of learning from experiences, adapting to challenges, and refusing to be defined by circumstances.
 
Your character isn't fully developed in a single act of courage or a solitary moment of virtue; it's cultivated through a lifetime of consistent choices aligned with godly values. When trials come, your character acts as a steady hand on the helm of your life, guiding you through the stormy seas with integrity.
