Excited to Hear from God
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
As Christians, we have been blessed with the most precious gift of all: the living and breathing Word of God. Through the Bible, God communicates with us in ways that are beyond our understanding. He teaches us about His plans, purposes, and promises for our lives. He speaks to us and guides us through every step of our journey.
It's no wonder, then, that we should be excited about hearing from God through His Word. We should be eager to sit down with our Bibles, to read and to listen. We should be open to hearing what God has to say to us, and we should approach His Word with reverence and awe.
The Bible is not just another book. It is a powerful tool that can transform our lives from the inside out. As we read the Scriptures, we are convicted, challenged, and encouraged. We learn about who God is and who we are in Him. We discover the depths of His love for us and the incredible plans He has for our lives.
The Bible is also a guidebook for life. It gives us direction and wisdom, helping us to navigate the ups and downs of life with grace and purpose. It shows us how to live in a way that is pleasing to God and beneficial to those around us. It equips us to do every good work that God has called us to do.
So, let's be excited about hearing from God through His Word. Let's be eager to read and to listen, and let's approach His Word with humility and a willingness to learn. Let's allow the Bible to transform our lives, and let's use it as a guidebook for the amazing journey that God has planned for us.
Let our prayer today be; Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Help us to approach Your Word with eagerness and humility and help us to apply its teachings to our lives. May Your Word transform us from the inside out and equip us to do every good work that You have called us to do. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
