Opening Ourselves Up to God’s Miracles
"Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’" - Matthew 19:26
Have you ever felt like your situation was impossible? Maybe you're facing a difficult diagnosis, financial struggles, or relationship issues that seem insurmountable. In these moments, it can be tempting to close ourselves off and give up hope. But as Christians, we serve a God who specializes in the impossible. He can do miracles in our lives if we only open ourselves up to Him.
In Matthew 19:26, Jesus reminds us that with God, all things are possible. We should never limit God's power by assuming that something is too difficult for Him to handle. Instead, we should trust in Him and open ourselves up to the miracles He has in store for us.
The Bible is full of examples of people who opened themselves up to God's miracles. In the book of John, we read about a man who had been paralyzed for 38 years. Jesus asked him if he wanted to be healed, and the man replied that he had no one to help him into the pool where the water was stirred. But instead of giving up, he opened himself up to Jesus' power and was healed instantly (John 5:1-9).
Similarly, the woman with the issue of blood had been suffering for 12 years with no relief. She had exhausted all her options, but when she heard that Jesus was passing by, she opened herself up to the possibility of a miracle. She touched the hem of His garment and was instantly healed (Matthew 9:20-22).
We too can experience these kinds of miracles in our lives if we open ourselves up to God's power. This means surrendering our situations to Him and trusting that He can do the impossible. It means having faith that He is bigger than any problem we might face and that He has a plan for our lives.
So today, let's make a conscious decision to open ourselves up to the miracles God has in store for us. Let's trust in His power and believe that He can do the impossible. With God, all things are possible.
