He Did It... And So Can You
“…Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.” – Joel 2:13
Yesterday, we discussed the greatest comeback in the history of the world. And that was when Jesus Christ came back from the dead.
Jesus came to earth. He lived a perfect life, and then He died for our sins – for yours and for mine. Had He remained dead, the end of the story wouldn’t have been as significant.
However, Jesus rose from the dead. Jesus has been described as the “firstborn from the dead” because he was the first to gain special status as an heir to God’s grace. He insured that we all would be able to obtain eternal life and we would not have to rely on sacrifices as a way of atoning for our sins.
Although we have been given the gift of eternal life, many of us are spiritually dead. We are physically breathing; however, our relationship with God is cold. We have relied on our own understanding to navigate the world and have put God on the backburner. Life has made us cold and unresponsive to God’s gift.
But the good news is that it does not have to remain that way. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you have gone through, Jesus is calling you to a comeback today. Joel 2:13 says, “…Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.”
You don’t have to have all the answers. You just have to be obedient. Let God lead you to your greatest comeback yet. It will literally change your life!
