Who’s The Source?
“For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisors.” - Proverbs 11:14
Even when you find someone to talk to, you must be discerning. This is where your prayer life is pertinent. Because if you have a drug abuse problem and you are seeking advice from someone who encourages your habit, this guidance will lead you further away, instead of closer, to healing and wholeness.
So many people get off track because they take their problems to the wrong people. People talk to friends who aren’t going anywhere in life about their future. People talk to those who can’t keep a relationship about their own relationship. People talk to those who don’t pray about spirituality.
Stop talking to people who have never been where you are trying to go and who are unproductive in their own life about yours! This man who had a problem with his fig tree that we’ve been discussing the last few days talked to another man who specialized in fig trees. That is a good thing! That is the right way to go about seeking advice!
Proverbs 11:14 says, “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisors.”
Do you want to talk to someone? That’s a good idea. Just make sure you are talking to the right someone. Seek wise advice. Seek someone who knows what you are dealing with and can help you get where you want to go. When you do, it can make all the difference!
