Someone Needs Your Ending
“Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” - 1 John 4:4
Where are you in your life? What happened to you? What has knocked you down so far that you just can’t seem to get up?
As you lay there, the devil is smiling over you. He thinks he has won. And maybe you are thinking, “Pastor, he has won. I can’t get back up. Too much has happened to me, too much hurt, too much pain, too much sorrow... I can’t keep going.”
“Too much” hurt entered Joseph’s life. “Too much” pain entered Paul’s life. “Too much” sorrow entered Abraham’s life. But their stories ultimately brough glory to God.
We are blessed to have countless examples of people just like you and me, people who did their best to follow God. They lived in an imperfect world with sin and pain. And yet, through all that pain, they kept trusting the God who created them, and they believed Him when He said, “Your story isn’t over.”
Someone needs the ending of your story…the ending that hasn’t been written yet. If Joseph, Paul, or Abraham laid down and quit, would we have their stories today? How many lives have been changed because of these biblical characters’ obedience and resilience?
Your story might not be documented in a book, but someone is watching. Someone needs you. They need you to keep going. Who knows, the end of your story might just save their life. But how will you ever know if you quit now? Your story isn’t over. Let God have the final say!
