His Way
“’My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,’ says the Lord. ‘And My ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.’” - Isaiah 55:8-9
Do you trust that God is in control but still cannot help but worry about your life journey? As believers, it is impossible to both have faith and worry. The two cannot co-exist.
Hebrews 11:6 reminds us of this when it says, “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.”
There are various reasons why we worry. Yesterday, we discussed that we often worry because we believe God’s WILL won’t align with ours. A second reason we worry is because we believe God’s WAYS will be different from ours. This means that that we not only worry about the outcome, but we also worry about the process.
If it was up to us, we would take the path of least resistance. We would avoid pain at all costs and evade anything that causes discomfort. But we know that that does not always work in our favor. It’s in the discomfort that we grow. It is more about the journey than the destination.
Truth faith is believing that God’s way is the best way, even when we don’t see how. Do not worry about the way in which God leads you, but instead have peace knowing His way is always the best way!
