Even The Birds
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to Him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?” - Matthew 6:25-27
Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but it gets you nowhere. Far too often, we worry. If you are a nonbeliever, it is understandable why you worry. If you have not placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then it is valid why you worry.
But once you have given your life to Christ, you understand who is in control. Your Heavenly Father, the Creator of all things, is in firm control of everything that takes place in, through, and around your life.
And if He is in control, and He loves you, don’t you think He will take care of you? Matthew 6 says He takes care of the birds.
Matthew 6:25-26 says, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to Him than they are?”
Your Heavenly Father takes care of the birds. Don’t you think He will take care of you? Once you realize how much He loves you and that He has total control, your reasons to worry fall by the wayside.
God doesn’t want you to spend another second worrying. Whatever it is, give it to Him. Watch and allow Him to work in your life and see the beauty He makes of your messes!
