Everyone Has a Story to Tell
“For I will speak to you in a parable. I will teach you hidden lessons from our past—stories we have heard and known, stories our ancestors handed down to us. We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about His power and His mighty wonders.” - Psalm 78:2-4
If someone approached you right now and asked you the question, “What's your story” what would you tell them? What comes to mind? What time in your life has impacted you to the point that it has shaped how you live?
No matter who you are, where you come from, or what you have been through, everyone has a story to tell. As believers, God allows us to go through things in our lives to create a testimony that will help others who will one day go through the same things we once went through.
It is easy in the moment to question God and wonder, “God, why am I going through this? Why are you allowing this to happen to me?” And while it is for our own good and personal growth, it can also be for others. God might be allowing you to go through something even now because one day it is going to change the life of someone else.
Psalm 78:2-4 says, “For I will speak to you in a parable. I will teach you hidden lessons from our past—stories we have heard and known, stories our ancestors handed down to us. We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about His power and His mighty wonders.”
Everyone has a story to tell. What is your story? Do not keep it to yourself. God wants you to share your story whenever the opportunity avails itself. You never know whose life might change because they heard your story!
