See It Themselves
“Jesus said to her, ‘Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?” - John 11:40
Have you ever met someone who does not believe what you say until they have seen it with their own eyes? These people might label themselves as “cautious,” but in reality, they are just naturally skeptical. They refuse to believe until there is physical proof.
These are the type of people who God needs you for…to show them firsthand how He works. To show them how faith operates.
Paul went back to Lystra because there were some people who relied on him, some people who were looking to him, and they needed to know that God was able to pick them up and turn them around.
They needed a firsthand demonstration that you can be knocked down one day and stand upright the next. That is why you and I should never be ashamed to share our testimony because there are people watching and taking notes. They are truly considering giving up on their situation, but they are watching to see how you handle(d) your situation.
Paul understood that there were people who needed to see that he went through trials and made it out on the other side. They needed to see that he was still standing, still smiling, still serving, and still preaching. Paul was walking confirmation of the Word he had preached to them.
What does your life portray? Are you walking the walk and talking the talk? For some, your life might be the greatest example of God’s love, mercy, and grace that they will ever witness.
Does your life point others to God. God may be asking you today to be the example for those who must “see it for themselves.”
