You Are Secure
“But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord’s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!” - 2 Chronicles 20:17
When you give your life to Christ, He takes full responsibility for providing for you. In other words, He will meet all your needs. The Bible assures us of this in Philippians 4:19 when it says, “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”
He will meet your needs. Even as adults, we spiritually and emotionally have many of the same needs that young children do. We need to feel safe. We need to feel seen. We need to feel soothed. He provides all of these things. He also provides security.
When you have God in your corner, you can feel secure knowing the battle is already won. All you must do is wait and trust Him, and He will fight for you. You can stand securely knowing He will win.
2 Chronicles 20:17 says, “But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord’s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!”
It is almost like having a permanent fast pass that puts you at the front of the line. You may still be in the line, you may still have to wait, but you have favor. You can rest knowing that the victory is already yours.
God will always show up for you. It may not be in the way you want, but it will be in the way you need. There is no need to chase what is already yours. Turn to God and allow Him to give you all that you are looking for and so much more!
