Clarity
“And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.’” - Isaiah 30:21
Over the last few days, we have talked about the importance of having “specialists” in our lives. Basically, this is just the idea of having people in our lives that can help us when we lack clarity on God’s will and purpose for our lives.
There are times in your faith journey when you will struggle with clarity. You might be unsure about God’s will for your life, or what God wants you to do with a major decision you have to make. This can be stressful. You have all intentions of being obedient to what God would have you do; you just aren’t sure what that is.
This is where others can help. Spiritual advisors, mental health specialists, and accountability partners can help bring you clarity. In fact, that is one of the main reasons to have these types of people in your life. When you can’t find clarity from God through Scripture, God will use others to give you clarity.
The Lord is creative. He has limitless resources. And if He wants you to know something, He will find a way to make it known to you. Having other believers in your life who love and care about you is great because they can often give you a perspective or godly wisdom that is exactly what God wants you to hear. They can show you things you may not have been able to see on your own.
When you are lacking clarity in your personal relationship with God, do not grow discouraged. It might just be time to reach out to someone! Let them know what is going on and be honest about your struggle to find clarity. If they truly love you and want what’s best for you, they will be glad to help.
You never know. Your next conversation might just be the clarity you have been looking for this whole time. If you are struggling, reach out to your “specialist” today!
