A Chance for A Miracle
“But Jesus said, ‘That isn’t necessary—you feed them.’ ‘But we have only five loaves of bread and two fish!’ they answered. ‘Bring them here,’ He said.” - Matthew 14:16-18
Author Joel Rosenberg told the story of two Christians driving down a mountain in Iran with a car full of Bibles. The car had a steering wheel malfunction, which caused the Christians to stop by the side of the road.
Suddenly, the passengers heard a knock on the car window, which startled them. A man was asking them where the books were. Confused, they asked him, “What books are you referring to? And he exclaimed, “The books about Jesus!”
He had recently had a vision that Jesus told him to walk by the side of the mountain road because someone would deliver him books about Jesus. He obeyed and this car was pulled over not too long after he arrived.
He was thirsting for God and so were those in his village. What was an unexpected delay for the passengers was divine intervention for the Iranian man and his community. He was faithful to God, and he was certain his blessing was on the way.
It can be difficult at times to have faith when everything around you is telling you to not believe, including your own mind.
But we serve a God who specializes in what man deems impossible. And at the right time, He can change any situation and produce a harvest designed for your benefit and His glory. The next time you are ready to give up, remember, there is always a chance for a miracle. Hold on, help is on the way!
