I Will Forgive You
“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” - 2 Chronicles 7:14
When you are obedient to God and follow what 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, God will do three things: hear you, forgive you, and restore you. Yesterday we focused on God hearing us. That’s right, in a world of 8 billion people, God will hear us when we cry out to Him. Today, we will discuss God forgiving us.
There is a story about a father and son who had become estranged after the son ran away. After searching for months, the father was unable to locate his son. The father then put an ad out in a newspaper that said, “Mario, please meet me in front of the newspaper office at noon on Saturday. All is forgiven. I love you, sincerely dad.” That Saturday, 1,000 Mario’s showed up to be forgiven by their dad.
When we sin, we become estranged from our Father God. But he continues to forgive us and show His love to us. He loved us so much that He sent His son Jesus to die for the forgiveness of our sins.
You may feel as though your sin cannot be forgiven. However, God is greater than your sin. And He is waiting for you to seek His face and turn from your wicked ways. You can never “out sin” God’s mercy. His grace is too plentiful.
Are you ready to be forgiven today?
