The Ultimate Help
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” - Isaiah 41:10
Over the last few days, we have talked about how to handle the stress and anxiety when life throws its toughest situations at us. We saw in Numbers 11 how Moses was frustrated with life because he needed help. We learned the importance of realizing our limitations and asking for help.
Whether it is from friends, family, or co-workers, there are those around us that can be of assistance. But there is One who is even greater. The ultimate help is God, Himself. Isaiah tells 41:10 tells us, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Throughout Scripture, there are examples of the ultimate help God provides for those who love Him. Philippians 4:13 reminds us, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Then we see in Hebrews 4:16, “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
Whether it is grace when you have messed up, confidence when you are feeling shaken, courage when you are afraid, toughness when others criticize you, discipline when you are feeling unmotivated, or strength when the task seems too large, no matter what it is, God is the answer. It sounds cliche, and it is the ever-famous “Sunday School answer.”
But it is the best answer. He is the answer. Jesus is the ultimate help. Whatever it is you are struggling with, spend more time communing with God. Scripture shows us time and time and time again… He is our ultimate help!
