A Revelation For Your Situation
“Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.” - Proverbs 29:18
Yesterday, I told you about my eyesight struggles and how about two years ago, it became difficult for me to read the menu at a restaurant. I had to get glasses, which allowed me to clearly see things I could not see before. After that, I began to realize this not only applies to the natural world, but also to the spiritual world as well.
It is hard to function when you cannot see. It is difficult to navigate your way through life when you do not have a clear understanding of who you are, what you are doing, and where you are going. But when God gives you a revelation about your situation, you begin to get clarity. You can move peacefully throughout life knowing that you can see clearly now.
At various junctures throughout Scripture, the Bible underscores the importance of having clear vision and a proper perspective on life. Proverbs 29:18 says where there is no vision the people will perish. Vision is so important to the prophet Habakkuk that he said when God gives you a vision you ought to write it down and make it plain so that those who read it can run with it.
Proper vision is what inspires us to embrace life. It spurs us into action, to do something great knowing that no matter what we go through, in the end, with God, we are going to win. Having a clear vision allows us to wake up every morning with a sense of purpose. It keeps us moving forward.
God has a unique vision for each of our lives. Seek Him and you will find Him. He does not hide. He wants to reveal His plan to you! He wants you to fulfill the purpose and destiny He predestined for you before you were even born. If you will seek His purpose and put it at the forefront of your life, He will give you a revelation for your situation!
