Almost There!
God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. - James 1:12
On April 30, 1945, an unknown Jewish writer left a note for a friend who helped him escape Nazi persecution by hiding him in his home. In the note, he writes, “thank you for what you did for me. You and your family have shown grace rarely found in men. I, however, can no longer endure suffering heaped upon me and my people by this regime. I have decided to end my life.” So, on that night, he took his life.
It is a sad tale; but what makes the story more difficult is that on May 5, 1945, both the Nazi regime and Hitler were defeated. Had he held on just 5 more days and had he been able to wait and endure just a little while longer, he would have seen a more victorious outcome.
You never know how close you are to your blessing. What you have been waiting on for months, or even years, could be right around the corner. If you are looking for a sign, this is it to keep going! Keep holding on. Keep trusting God. Keep believing in yourself. Even in darkness, light dawns for the upright.
And once you have made it through your waiting period, God will ultimately reward you for your faithfulness. Stay focused, you are almost there!
