God The Helper

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” - Psalms 46:1

We have spent an extended amount of time talking about God standing at the door and knocking. As we know, it is our job to let God in. He wants to do so much for you and your life. Over the next three days we are going to dive into specifically what God will do when you open the door and let Him in.

First, God will help you. Perhaps you are in the midst of deep trouble. Maybe it’s a relationship that has gone sideways and you have no idea how to salvage it. Maybe it’s a financial problem and you have no idea how the bills are going to get paid, or where your next paycheck is coming from. Maybe it’s a task you have to perform, whether it is instruction from your boss at work, or a competitive competition like an athletic event.

No matter what it is, you just don’t know how you are going to be able to fix what’s broken, or do what is being asked of you to do. It is overwhelming and can stress you out to no end. This is one of the very reasons God is knocking. He wants to help you. God is not a God that expects you to have all the answers before you come to Him, but instead wants you to let Him in so He can show you the answers you are looking for.

If you will allow him, God will help you in the places you need him the most. There is no place you go, where God cannot reach you. His resources are limitless and if there is a message He wants you to have, He will get it across to you. Let God in and allow Him to help you. He will show you what it is you need to do or should do. He will give you the strength when you feel like you have none left.
