Power Through Prayer
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” - Matthew 7:7
When you become a believer in Jesus Christ and depend on Him for all your needs, you are depending on a God who is limitless in terms of power. There is nothing that God cannot do through you, in you, and for you. This is truly amazing when you stop to think about it. There is NOTHING God cannot do. And He has every intention of using YOU to do His work here on earth.
So how do you know exactly what God wants you to do? The same way you know what your boss wants you to do, or your spouse wants you to do, or a relative. You talk to Him. Communication is always the key to getting on the same page. And God is no different. If you want to exercise the power of God and see that power manifested in you and through you in every area of your life, you must talk to God first.
See, God wants to give you that power. He wants to use you in ways beyond your greatest expectations. But first, He desires a relationship with you. He doesn’t just want to use you, He wants to build a relationship with you so that you can know Him better. In doing so, you will better understand what He thinks, what He wants for you, and as you set out to do His will, He will give you the power you need.
This is an amazing thought to know God will give you all the power you could ever need. But it starts by better understanding who God is. And that starts with prayer. To know God is to talk to Him. If you want the promise God offers of power, you must first come to Him in prayer. God will not give you this power, without knowing that you understand how to use it. When you begin to pray and better understand God, He will show you what you can do, and all that you can become, and this is where you will find the power of God, through prayer.
