You Never Imagined
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” - Isaiah 55:8-9
What would your younger self think about the person you are today – where you live, who you call “friends,” your career, your goals, your entire life? Have you ever said, “I never imagined I’d be where I am right now”?
If you’re thinking that, it could be because life is even better than you would have envisioned. And if that is the case, that is good news! However, many people are saying to themselves, “I never imagined I would be here... I always thought my life would be, well... better.”
Sometimes, life doesn’t go as planned. Or rather, it doesn’t go as WE planned. But that doesn’t mean that God isn’t still actively working in our lives. Isaiah 55:8-9 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
You might be on a different path than you thought because of what God has orchestrated, or because of the choices you have made. Either way, you are in a position you didn’t expect.
But guess what, that is okay. Because it’s often in those reflection times that we learn to be obedient to the will of God. We grieve the life we thought we would have, but we must also recognize that everything is designed to work in our favor, the good and the bad!
No matter who you are, if you are still breathing, your story isn’t over. God is still working. And just because you could have never imagined this life, it doesn’t surprise God one bit.
Trust that He will work everything for your good and trust where He leads you next.

Thanks for this awesome truthful message. I never imagined I would be here at this time in my life. No, most things didn't happen as I thought they would. However it is awesome knowing I have a God who is still there telling me How He Loves Me, He Is With Me. How He will never leave Me: I am not afraid of this life or the next because I know Jesus died for Me. The significant others lay a snare, but I trust in the Lord at all times. Amen
