For Such a Time as This
“If you keep silent at this time, relief anda deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” – Esther 4:14
Sometimes we underestimate the moments we are in. We look at what is happening around us and assume that we are bystanders, watching a story unfold instead of realizing that we might be part of what God wants to do in the story.
Esther’s story is a powerful reminder of how purpose often shows up in pressure. Her people were facing a death sentence. The odds were stacked against them. And she was in a position no one else was in. She had access to the king, but speaking up meant risking everything.
She could have stayed quiet. She could have played it safe. But her uncle Mordecai said something that still rings true today. Maybe you’re in this position for such a time as this.
That question still speaks. Maybe the place you are in right now is not random. Maybe the season you are walking through is not wasted. Maybe the influence you have, the relationships you carry, the resources in your hands, and the position you hold are not just about you. Maybe God has placed you where you are to do something that matters.
We live in a time where it is easier to be passive. Easier to stay in the background and let someone else handle it. But the call of God is not to hide. It is to be bold. It is to be faithful with the influence you have, and to speak up when the moment calls for it.
You may not have all the answers. You may feel the fear. But courage is not the absence of fear. It is faith that answers when purpose calls. And if God has brought you to this moment, He will give you the strength to walk through it.
You are not here by accident. There is something bigger going on. And who knows, maybe you are exactly where you are for such a time as this.
