Take Action
"Why are we sitting here until we die?" - 2 Kings 7:3
Sometimes, waiting feels easier than taking action. But when you look at scripture, real breakthroughs happen when people decide to get up and do something about their situation. Take the four lepers in 2 Kings 7, who were sitting outside the city during a time of famine. They asked themselves a powerful question: “Why are we sitting here until we die?” And because they got up and moved, God made a way for them to find provision.
It’s a powerful lesson. You can pray, believe, and hope all you want, but if you’re not willing to take action, nothing changes. It’s easy to look at the obstacles in your life and feel stuck. It’s tempting to wait for someone else to come and fix everything. But the truth is, God often calls you to be part of the solution.
Just like the Israelites marching around Jericho, you have to be willing to take steps of faith even when you don’t see the outcome. They didn’t just pray for the walls to fall. They marched. They shouted. They moved in faith. And God responded.
If you’re waiting for someone else to bring change to your situation, you might be waiting forever. God has given you the ability to move forward. He’s given you gifts, strength, and resources to start making a difference right where you are.
The question is, are you willing to act? Are you willing to step out and trust that God can use your efforts to bring down the walls in your life? Or will you stay where you are, waiting for someone else to do what God is calling you to do?
The time for waiting is over. Get up. Take action. And watch God work through your willingness to move.

I don’t know what to do. I thought I was supposed to wait on the Lord, now this. What does it look like to move when I have no direction from God?
