When Scarcity Steals Your Hope
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." – John 10:10
There is a mindset many people live with, and they do not even realize it. It’s not about what they have or don’t have, it’s about what they believe is possible. It’s the voice that says there is not enough. Not enough time, not enough energy, not enough money, not enough talent, not enough opportunity. It’s called a scarcity mindset. And when it takes root in your thinking, it slowly begins to shrink your faith.
You start to settle. You stop dreaming. You stop trying. You assume that better days, big purpose, and fresh joy are for other people. But not for you. And over time, you go from believing to surviving. You go from dreaming about more to barely making it through.
That is not the life God intended for you. Scarcity may be the language of this world, but it is not the language of heaven. When Jesus said He came to give life, and life more abundantly, He meant it. He came to break the cycle of lack and lift the burden of “not enough” off your shoulders.
But to walk in that abundance, your perspective has to change. The circumstances around you may feel limited, but God’s supply never is. His grace is not scarce. His wisdom is not limited. His ability to open doors, change lives, and bring purpose is not in short supply.
What you are facing may be real, but it is not final. What feels stuck does not have to stay stuck. You are not too old, too late, too behind, or too far gone. The God who made you still has dreams for you, and He is more than enough to make those dreams possible.
So today, stop rehearsing what you don’t have and start remembering who you do have. With God, there is always enough. And through Him, you can live the full life He always intended for you to live.
