What Do You Do on Day 2?
"Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning." - Psalm 30:5
We talk about Good Friday—the day of pain, loss, and heartbreak. And we celebrate Easter Sunday—the day of victory, resurrection, and redemption. But what about Saturday? What about Day 2?
Day 2 is the space in between. It is the day after everything has fallen apart but before the breakthrough comes. It is the waiting period, the silence, the uncertainty. For the disciples, Day 2 was filled with confusion, grief, and doubt. Jesus was gone. The Messiah they had followed was now buried in a tomb. What were they supposed to do now?
Maybe you are in your own Day 2 season. You have faced the pain of Good Friday—a loss, a failure, a heartbreak—but Sunday has not come yet. You know that God has promised hope, restoration, and new life, but right now, all you see is silence. You are stuck in the waiting, unsure of what comes next.
Day 2 is hard because it feels like nothing is happening. It is the space where faith is tested the most. When you cannot see what God is doing, will you still trust Him? When prayers seem unanswered, will you still believe? When the promise feels far away, will you hold on?
The truth is, even when it looks like nothing is happening, God is still working. Just because you cannot see resurrection yet does not mean it is not coming. In the unseen, in the silence, in the waiting, God is moving.
So what do you do on your Day 2? You hold on. You keep believing. You remind yourself that Day 3 is coming. You do not let the silence convince you that God has forgotten you. You do not let the waiting make you walk away. You stay faithful, even when you do not understand.
Day 2 is where faith is refined. It is where trust is built. It is where you decide that no matter how long it takes, you will not let go of the promise.
Because if God said Sunday is coming, Sunday is coming. Hold on.
