Recognize Your Need for Healing
"Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise." - Jeremiah 17:14
Jacob had everything—wealth, relationships, status—but deep down, he knew something was missing. It was not more money he needed. It was not more success. It was healing. On the outside, he looked like a man who had it all together, but on the inside, he knew that the weight of his past, his habits, and his broken relationships were holding him back from what God had for him.
Maybe that is where you are right now. You have been pushing forward, doing what needs to be done, but something inside of you feels off. Maybe it is a wound from the past that you have tried to ignore, a habit you know is keeping you stuck, or a spiritual emptiness that no amount of worldly success can fill. You might not be able to name it, but you know you cannot keep going on like this.
Jacob came to this realization at a critical moment in his life. He was about to step into his next season, but before he could move forward, he had to be honest with God. He did three things that changed everything: he prayed, he acknowledged his fear, and he admitted his need. This was not easy for Jacob. He was a man who had always relied on his own strength, his own plans, and sometimes even his own deceit to get ahead. But now, all of that was stripped away, and he was left with just himself and God.
You might be at a turning point right now. Maybe it is a crisis in your family, your finances, or your faith. Maybe it is something you cannot quite explain, but you know that you need God to do a deep work inside of you. Jacob’s habit of manipulation had created division in his life, and he finally realized he could not move forward until he dealt with it. What about you? What patterns, wounds, or fears are keeping you from the future God has for you?
God does not expose brokenness to condemn you. He reveals it so He can heal it. But you have to recognize your need for healing. You have to bring it to Him. Do not ignore it. Do not keep pushing forward like nothing is wrong. If you are in a season where God has removed distractions and is making you face yourself, lean into it. That is where transformation begins.
