Do You Still Believe?
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.” - John 14:1
When you have to wait on God, and your circumstances do not make sense, do you still believe? Genesis 15:6 says, “And Abram believed the Lord.” The verse does not mean that Abram just started believing in God. Instead, it means that amidst all the missteps and the mistakes, despite all his faults and flaws, Abram still believed in God.
When it’s all said and done, that is what God wants to know: do you still believe? Despite all you have been through, do you still believe? When the bottom drops out, do you still believe? When difficulty strikes, do you still believe? God wants more than just the result. He wants your belief in the process.
While we desperately wait for the end reward, God is far more interested in the process. He is concerned with what comes of us waiting. He wants our faith to grow. He wants to know that when the situation doesn’t seem to make sense, when it doesn’t appear logical or even practical to believe, that we still do. He wants to watch our character grow as we develop traits like patience, self-control, and humility.
Though He is always working, you do not always see it. And that is exactly how He intends for it to be. Sometimes, God doesn’t want you to see all of the little details, because He just wants you to trust Him. So when things become difficult, and the end seems nowhere in sight, will you still believe? No matter what happens, God wants your trust. He wants you to forget your current situation, and look only to Him.
John tells us in the 14th chapter of his gospel, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me.” My friend, do not let your heart be troubled. Do not believe in the circumstances; believe in God. He’s the one that can and will change it all!

This I feel came directly from the throne of Almighty God this morning. I do "Still Believe". God put someone in my life a year ago that has been a blessing. But I have been through a lot of obstacles, hardships, fighting from the enemy of my soul. I have never had Satan fight me this hard in my whole life. I know God joined my path with this person and I know this is God's Will for my life. The Lord has taught me patience, increased my faith, courage above all. I know the main thing God is really trying to teach me through all of this: To trust Him. I know this is the lesson God is teaching me and has been trying to teach me from months and months ago....Trusting Him.
