The Day of Deliverance
"He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay." - Matthew 28:6
The waiting is over. The silence is broken. The stone has been rolled away. Jesus is alive.
Easter is the day of deliverance. It is the day when everything changed. Sin was defeated. Death lost its power. Hope was restored. What seemed impossible became reality, and what looked like the end was only the beginning.
For the disciples, Friday had been filled with pain, and Saturday had been filled with silence. But Sunday brought resurrection. The grave could not hold Jesus. The enemy could not stop Him. Everything He promised had come to pass, and because He lives, you are free.
Maybe you have been walking through your own Friday or Saturday. You have known heartbreak, struggle, and waiting. You have wondered if God was still working. But today is a reminder that deliverance always comes in God’s perfect timing. If He conquered death, then nothing in your life is beyond His power. If He walked out of the grave, then you can walk out of anything that has tried to keep you bound.
Easter is more than a celebration of what happened to Jesus. It is a declaration of what is true for you. The same power that raised Him from the dead is alive in you. The chains that once held you no longer have authority. The shame, the sin, the fear, it was all left in the grave.
So do not live like you are still on Friday. Do not stay stuck in Saturday. It is Sunday. Jesus is alive. You are free. Step into the new life He died to give you. The victory is yours. The deliverance has come.
This is resurrection. This is freedom. This is Easter.
