Moving In Faith
"By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encircled for seven days." - Hebrews 11:30
Marching can seem pointless when the goal isn’t clear. People often question whether it still holds any value or if it’s just an outdated practice with no real purpose. But the truth is, marching isn’t just about the act itself. It’s about the intention behind it. It’s about doing something with a clear purpose, trusting God to bring down the barriers that stand in your way.
In the story of Jericho, the Israelites marched around the city walls day after day. From the outside, it looked like a useless ritual. To their enemies, it probably seemed foolish and ineffective. But what they didn’t realize was that the Israelites weren’t marching in their own strength. They were following God’s instructions, believing that His plan would accomplish what human effort never could.
Sometimes God will have you doing something that looks pointless to everyone else. Maybe you’re praying for a breakthrough that seems impossible. Maybe you’re working hard toward a goal that feels out of reach. Maybe you’re obeying God in a way that others don’t understand. But just like the Israelites, your obedience is not in vain.
Marching isn’t just about moving your feet. It’s about moving in faith. It’s about believing that God can bring down walls that seem unmovable. It’s about trusting that when you walk in obedience, God is doing something behind the scenes that you can’t yet see.
If you feel like your efforts are pointless, take heart. God doesn’t waste obedience. The Israelites didn’t see the walls come down until they followed through with what God asked them to do. Their victory wasn’t just about their marching, it was about their faithfulness to keep going even when nothing seemed to be happening.
So, keep marching. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Because when you move in faith, you position yourself for God to do the impossible. And when the breakthrough comes, you’ll know it wasn’t because of your strength but because of His.
