Serving Others: A Blessing That Transforms
“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” - Acts 20:35
Serving others is a fundamental aspect of our Christian walk. It’s a tangible expression of God’s love and a powerful way to impact the world around us. But serving others does more than just meet their needs; it also does a transformative work in us.
When we serve others, we step outside of our comfort zones and self-centered perspectives. We begin to see the world through God’s eyes, recognizing the value and worth of every individual. We become more compassionate, understanding, and patient. We learn to love unconditionally, just as God loves us.
Serving others also brings us closer to God. It aligns our hearts with His and allows us to participate in His redemptive work. It’s a practical way to obey His commandments and to demonstrate our love for Him. As we serve others, we experience the joy and fulfillment that comes from doing God’s will.
In addition to bringing us closer to the Lord, serving others is a way of stewarding the blessings God has given us. God has blessed us not just for our own benefit, but also so that we can be a blessing to others. He has given us talents, resources, and opportunities to serve others and to make a difference in their lives.
I want to encourage you to embrace the biblical call to serve. In serving others, God does a transformative work in us. And when we serve, we get to use the blessings God has given us to bless others. For it is in giving that we receive, in serving that we are served, and in blessing others that we ourselves are blessed.
Let’s serve others with joy and gratitude, knowing that God is using us to touch lives and transform our own in the process.

Wow! This is such a vital and powerful devotion. I plan to share with many people!
I always say "God's Plan, I'm Just Doing The Work"
Message was spot on!
Great message. I related to it so much. Thank you for the message that said that God wants us to give. I needed to read this. I have been in the midst of thinking about and aiming to do something related to that in our community. It is time for me to make what my project is happen to serve God.
