Following Jesus means caring about economic justice not just in our own communities but around the world. It means supporting fair trade policies, debt forgiveness for developing nations, and international cooperation that prioritizes human wellbeing over corporate profits.
Our advocacy for economic justice at home should connect with similar movements globally, recognizing that we're all part of one human family created by God. The policies we support should benefit not just Americans but all of God's children worldwide.
True discipleship includes working for economic systems that serve the global common good rather than concentrating wealth among the few.
Prayer:
God of all nations, help me work for economic justice that benefits Your children everywhere, not just in my own country. Amen.
