Remembering What God Already Brought You Through
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” - Psalm 103:2
Life moves fast, and when pressures rise, it is easy to focus only on what is hard right now. You see the problem in front of you. You feel the weight of the moment. You wonder how things will work out. But Scripture invites you to pause and look back. Not to relive old pain, but to remember the faithfulness of God in your story. Gratitude grows when you take time to see how far God has already carried you.
Think about the moments you once believed you would not survive. Seasons that felt too heavy. Situations that felt too complicated. Days when you prayed for strength just to make it through. At the time, you were unsure, but God was steady. He guided you when you felt lost. He comforted you when your heart was hurting. He opened doors you did not expect. You did not get here by accident. You got here because God was faithful.
Remembering your story does something powerful inside you. It reminds you that God has a track record. When you look back, you start to see patterns of His goodness that you missed in the moment. A conversation that strengthened you. A person who showed up right when you needed them. A closed door that protected you. A change that pushed you toward growth. Gratitude rises when you realize none of it happened by chance.
The enemy wants you to forget all of that. He wants you to see today as if God has never come through before. He wants you to focus on the mountain instead of the God who moved every other mountain behind you. But when you remember your story, you start to regain confidence. You stop panicking. You stop assuming the worst. You start trusting that the same God who carried you then will carry you now.
Take a moment today to remember something God brought you through. Name it. Thank Him for it. Let the memory strengthen your faith. Gratitude grows when you choose to look back and see the fingerprints of God all over your life.
He has been faithful every step of the way. And He is not about to stop now.

I often thank God for all of mercy and favor upon me. I can trace Him as far back as my pre-teen days. He has always been a Strong Tower, and I am everso grateful. To God Be All the Glory and Praise. ?? WHAT A GREAT GOD!
