God Did This
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights" - James 1:17
There is a quiet danger in success. When the doors open, the diagnosis clears, the job comes through, or the relationship gets restored, it becomes easy to trace the blessing back to something other than God. You start crediting the right connection, the doctor’s skill, your persistence, or even luck. But what if you are giving glory to the wrong source?
Gratitude loses its power when it’s misplaced. One of the boldest declarations you can make is this: God did this. Not just when it is obvious, like a miracle you could never explain. But in the ordinary too. The peace in your home. The strength to get out of bed. The meal you did not think you could afford. The mind you still have after all the enemy threw at you. Those are not accidents. They are evidence.
God is behind more than you realize. He is the One who gave you the breath in your lungs today. He is the One who sustained you when you wanted to quit. He is the reason your heart is still soft when it could have turned cold. We do not praise Him just for the supernatural things. We praise Him because everything good in our lives flows from His hand. And acknowledging that is what keeps your heart in the right place.
There is a reason Scripture tells us to remember. Not just to feel thankful, but to actually remember who brought you through. Because when you forget who did it, you start to rely on yourself. You start to chase the next blessing like you earned the last one. But when you know God did it, it changes your posture. It keeps you humble. It keeps you worshiping.
Take a moment today and look around. What do you see that you would not have without Him? What has He provided, protected, or worked out that deserves your praise? Speak it out. Tell someone. Lift your voice and give the credit where it belongs. God did this. And when He gets the glory, you make room for Him to do even more.
