The Season of Alignment
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you" - Jeremiah 1:5
Some seasons in life feel more like unraveling than growth. Things fall apart. What once felt clear suddenly feels confusing. You may even wonder if God is punishing you or if you've missed your opportunity. But what if the disruption isn’t a sign that you’re off track, but that God is pulling you back into alignment with Him?
Sometimes the deepest work God does in your life happens in the hardest moments. It’s not when everything is going your way. It’s when your plans fail, when your heart aches, when the pressure builds. That’s when God can finally get your attention. Not because He’s harsh, but because He loves you enough to correct your course.
If you’ve drifted or gotten off center, God won’t just leave you there. His promise for your life still stands, but He may use discomfort to bring your focus back to what matters most. When things feel shaky, it may be because He's removing what you were never meant to build on in the first place. Not to destroy you, but to strengthen you.
This is the season to lean in, not pull away. If you’ve been sensing correction, conviction, or even a stripping away of what used to bring comfort, don’t resist it. God never subtracts without a purpose. He may be making room for something stronger, truer, and more in line with your calling. What you thought was falling apart might actually be falling into place.
So before you rush to fix it or run from it, pause and ask: What is God aligning in me right now? Where have I settled that He’s calling me higher? You are not being punished. You are being positioned. And if you let Him lead, this hard season might just become the holy ground where your next chapter begins.
