Don’t Come Back Without It
"For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory" – Deuteronomy 20:4
You know that feeling when something important to you gets taken away. Maybe it was your peace, your purpose, your passion, or your joy. Maybe it happened slowly, or maybe it hit all at once. But whatever it was, it mattered. And deep down, you know you were never meant to live without it.
When something valuable is stolen, the right response is not to sit around and hope it comes back. The right response is to go after it. That is what urgency looks like. Not panic. Not fear. But a holy determination that says, I will not settle for this loss.
You may feel like you have already lost too much. Maybe it is a relationship, a dream, or a version of yourself you barely recognize anymore. But if it is part of who God called you to be, then it is worth the fight. You do not need permission to go after it. You need the decision to go now and not stop until it is back in your hands.
There is a story of a father who bought his son a bike for Christmas. It took effort, time, and sacrifice. But the bike got stolen. The kid came home crying, but the dad did not just comfort him. He told him, “You better go find it. Knock on doors. Ask around. Do whatever it takes, but don’t come back without it.”
Maybe that is what God is saying to you today. Get up. Stop crying over what you lost. Knock on every door in prayer. Push through every obstacle with faith. Ask for help if you need it, but whatever you do, don’t come back empty-handed.
Your joy is worth it. Your family is worth it. Your future is worth it. Don’t walk away from the fight. Step into it. And don’t stop until you get it back.
