Becoming Who God is Forming
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." - 2 Corinthians 5:17
Moving with God is not just about doing something different. It is about becoming someone different. This journey of obedience is not just meant to shift your surroundings. It is designed to transform your soul. Too often, we think change is external. We believe that if we change our job, our location, our schedule, or our habits, we are living in obedience. But God is not after surface-level movement. He is after deep transformation.
When God calls you forward, He is not simply trying to get you to a new place. He is trying to shape you into a new person. The purpose of His movement in your life is not to rearrange your circumstances. It is to refine your character. If you are only focused on what you are doing differently, you may miss what He is trying to make different within you.
Think about the people God called in Scripture. Moses was not just called to leave the palace and go back to Egypt. He had to become bold enough to face Pharaoh. David was not just called to step onto a battlefield. He had to become a man after God's own heart. Esther was not just called to enter the king's palace. She had to become courageous enough to risk her life for her people.
And you? You are not just being called to make a change. You are being invited to become changed. That means letting God deal with your pride, your fear, your control, your insecurity. That means letting Him shape your heart, not just your habits. Because movement without transformation is just busyness. But movement with God leads to becoming who He created you to be.
Don’t just look at where He is calling you. Look at who He is forming in you. This is not just about doing more for God. It is about becoming more like Him. The old has passed away. The new has come. Let Him make you new.
