The Delay is Not the End
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." – Jeremiah 29:11
It is easy to lose heart when life does not go the way you planned. You had dreams that did not work out. You prayed for something that never came. You tried, gave it your best, and still ended up waiting. And somewhere along the way, you may have started to wonder if God had changed His mind about you.
But He has not. God is not finished with your story. The detour you did not see coming did not surprise Him. The delay that feels like a setback might be the very space He is using to develop something deeper within you. Because while you may be focused on the destination, God is always just as concerned with the person you are becoming along the way.
When things take longer than expected, that does not mean God has left you. In fact, it often means He is preparing you. He might be teaching you endurance. He might be shaping your character. He might be giving you the kind of strength that will be required for where He is taking you next. And if you rush past this season, you might miss the very growth that sets you up to carry the blessing He has in store.
If you find yourself in a place where you feel stuck, do not assume your story is over. The Author has not put down the pen. He is still writing, still working, and still planning something good.
You may not know how it all comes together yet, but the God who sees the end from the beginning is still in control. Your delay is not a denial. And your disappointment is not a dead end.
Trust the process. Trust the timing. And above all, trust the One writing your story. He knows exactly what He is doing.
