See It Before You Step into It
"Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint but blessed is he who keeps the law." – Proverbs 29:18
You cannot walk into what you cannot see. That is why vision matters. Not the kind that comes from your eyes, but the kind that comes from your heart when you know God is calling you to something greater. Vision gives direction. It clears out distractions. It brings focus to your faith. But without it, life can feel like wandering. And let’s be honest, wandering can wear you out.
Some people live each day trying to figure it out as they go. They wake up with no direction, no sense of what they are aiming toward, and wonder why they feel stuck. Others have had a sense of vision at one time but have allowed disappointment to blur it. Pain knocked the wind out of them. Delay made them doubt. And now, instead of dreaming, they settle. Instead of pressing forward, they pause. If that sounds like where you are, here is the good news. God can give you your vision back.
But it does not start with setting goals or making plans. It starts with seeking Him. When you get close to God, He helps you see your life through a different lens. You begin to realize He is not finished writing your story. You may have faced setbacks, but He still has a plan. You may have made mistakes, but He still sees potential. Vision starts to rise when you start to believe again that the best of your story has not been written yet.
So ask Him for it. Ask God to help you see what He sees. Ask Him to renew your dreams and give you a sense of what is possible through Him. You do not need to have every detail. You just need to see enough to take the next step. And when you do, that step will lead to another. Before long, you are walking into the very future God prepared for you all along. Not because you had it all figured out, but because you had the faith to keep moving toward the vision.
