Keep Climbing, It’s Worth It
"For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison." – 2 Corinthians 4:17
There’s something about climbing a mountain that tests everything in you. It’s slow. It’s tiring. It can be frustrating. And if you’re not careful, you’ll start to believe the view isn’t worth the struggle. That’s exactly why so many people stop short. Not because they’re weak, but because they lose sight of what’s waiting at the top.
When Jesus took a few of His disciples up the mountain where the Transfiguration happened, He didn’t tell them what they were going to see. He just invited them to come. They followed Him without knowing what was ahead. And because they kept walking, they got to witness something that would anchor their faith for the rest of their lives.
The same is true for you. There are moments coming that you cannot see yet. Glimpses of God’s power. Answers to prayers. Healing you didn’t think was possible. Breakthrough that’s been building slowly over time. But if you stop climbing now, you’ll miss it. The path may be steep. The pace may be slower than you want. But what God has planned is worth every step.
Sometimes the hard part isn’t believing God can do it, it’s believing He will. Especially when it feels like nothing’s changing. But Scripture is clear. What you’re walking through right now isn’t wasted. It’s preparing something greater. There’s weight to it. Glory that far outweighs the pressure you’re under. You just haven’t reached the view yet.
So don’t quit. Don’t settle at the halfway point. Keep trusting. Keep praying. Keep growing. You may not feel the glory yet, but it’s coming. And when it does, you’ll look back and see that God was using every struggle, every delay, and every quiet moment to lead you to something bigger than you imagined.
The mountain may be high, but so is the reward. Keep climbing. It will be worth it.
