He Knows Where to Find You
"And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed." - Exodus 3:2
Moses wasn’t searching for a calling. He wasn’t out on a mission to find his purpose. He was just going through the motions, doing what he did every day, tending sheep in the middle of nowhere. But God knew exactly where to find him.
Sometimes we think we have to chase something big in order to be used by God. We try to position ourselves in the right places, make the right connections, and do enough to finally earn the moment when God might take notice. But that’s not how it works.
Moses didn’t climb a mountain to meet God. God brought the mountain to Moses.
That burning bush wasn’t a coincidence. It was an appointment. And what that tells you is this: when God is ready to move in your life, He knows exactly where you are. He’s not confused about your location. He’s not thrown off by your situation. You don’t have to force His attention. You already have it.
That should lift a burden. You don’t have to scramble to be seen. You don’t have to prove your worth. You just have to be faithful with what is in front of you. Moses showed up to tend sheep. God showed up to change everything.
And notice this, God didn’t call to Moses until He saw that Moses turned aside to look. That means Moses still had to respond. He could have walked right past the moment. But he stopped. He turned. He paid attention.
Maybe today is not about finding your next big thing. Maybe it’s about paying attention to the small things God is lighting up right in front of you.
Because when the time is right, He knows where to find you. And if you’re listening, He’ll make sure you don’t miss it.
