The Obstacle Isn’t the End
"But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless compelled by a mighty hand." - Exodus 3:19
When God told Moses to go to Pharaoh and lead His people out of Egypt, He didn’t sugarcoat how hard it was going to be. He didn’t say Pharaoh would listen right away. In fact, He told Moses up front, Pharaoh is going to resist. This will not be easy.
That part matters. Too often, we assume that if God is in it, the path should be smooth. That if we are doing what He told us to do, everything should fall into place. But that is not how it worked for Moses, and it is not how it usually works for us. God called Moses to something hard, and He let him know in advance, there would be pushback.
Maybe you are in the middle of something right now that you were sure God led you into, but it feels stuck. It feels blocked. And the question sneaks in, did I get this wrong? Did I miss it?
Obstacles do not mean you missed God. They might mean you are right where He wants you. When Moses stood in front of Pharaoh, and Pharaoh said no, that was not the end of the story. It was the beginning of a process where God would show His strength, not just to Egypt, but to Moses, too.
Sometimes the resistance is the setup for the miracle. Sometimes the delay is the space where faith grows.
God never promised Moses a straight line. But He did promise to be with him. And He promised that Pharaoh would let the people go. Not if. When.
You may be facing something right now that feels impossible to move. But do not let that stop you. If God led you here, He will see you through it. The obstacle in front of you is not the end. It is just the point in the story where God starts to show what only He can do.
